That's right - Sidewinder (NES - unlicensed, 1989), which was renamed Mission Cobra when published in the US in 1990.

Developed by Taiwanese company Sachen (who self-published in Taiwan) in 1989.  It was published in Australia in 1989 by HES, a Sydney-based publisher specialising in unlicensed NES games.  Sidewinder is the only unlicensed NES game I have played, and it sticks in my memory because it looked like this:

AFAIK, this "piggyback" design was only used by HES games.  It also came in a tacky thermoform case which bugged me no end as a kid.

Your turn

I only knew it from a screenshot in "a certain NES guide book". The US cart looks like any other Color Dreams cart.

Hey there moman! You should post in the introductions thread to let us know a little more about your gaming/collecting background. Welcome!

Any hints? Looks like it's D&D based, and possibly on a C64.

I just happened to be watching your last pickups video and I think I picked up on the hint.  Is it Airs Adventure?

Need a hint?  This game was released exclusively in Japan for the Super Famicom, although it apparently had a remake on the Saturn a couple of years later (also Japan exclusive).
