Well looks like we are all in agreement that it should be higher than 3 though.

It's been upped to 10 votes min.  Hopefully 10 votes will be enough to even out any poor voters.

There's no way to stop people from voting to bring down games.  It's going to happen.  We could drop the lowest and highest, but I have a feeling that wouldn't help a whole lot.

Too all the people that tanked votes I would like to say thanks for wasting Eddies time. He could of been working on something more useful. But instead he had to fix the Top 100 because you are a jackass.

Since Eddie's changed the required number of votes let me just say that everyone should really, really, vote on these games. Do you all really want E.T. to be RF Generation's 100th best game? Is Marble Madness really the 19th worst game? Perhaps you think they are, but the message should be clear-- vote!

I think that dropping the top and the bottom X number of votes is a good idea.

IMDB does something like that to rate the movies.  They share their rating system if you want to take a look. (Too lazy to look it up right now.)

Yeah ET being on there is a bit of a downer, but overall I think it's a good switch. I actually recognize most of the games.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  yuck Not ET, my life has lost all meaning, I don't know what is what. If ET is one of the top 100 games of all time, I just can't touch another game ever again.

Seriously though, I already gave ET my 5 so yeah, lets get some of those votes in.
Dose this mean no vote reset though?
I definitely approve of the 10 vote average though.

Here is something I think is probably impossible but will really work well if it is possible. Can we have it that votes are region independent? I mean it would be silly if the top 3 eventually dominated by each regions version of the same game.

I agree. Those of you who purposely tanked other games scores should be banned from voting. (IMO)
But that probably wont happen. Please give an honest opinion of games you have played. Also, let see everybody vote for games they own! (this would be great)

Yeah, us bastards shouldn't even be allowed here!

The list really sucks now though. Out of 25 thousand games, custard's revenge is number 100 with a score of 35.35. Isn't 10 too many?

If they are going to screw up the voting just because they don't like a system yeah they shouldn't be able to vote.

I don't see it as screwing up the voting.

The way I see it, there's a list of games in a specific order and if you want your favorite games on top of the list, you'll have to vote other games down. It's very strategic voting and I really don't see what's wrong with it. I wouldn't be upset if someone who really loves Chrono Trigger votes the 4 games that are ahead of it in the list a 5, so Chrono trigger could get the top spot. That's simply how it works.

So you would vote a ganme down even if you have never played it just to get your favorites on top of the list?

Yes, if I believe that will result in a top 100 I can relate to better I would.

Yes, and given 3 people's tendencies towards sega it makes it somewhat skewed.

I've think we've discussed this into the ground.

Thats not the point of a Top 100 list. The list isnt your top 100.

Sorry Dave
