Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Okay, I know that on the NES there are two versions of this game, correct? Correct. The confusion as to which-is-which comes with this little tidbit in the supposedly non-Tengen version:
"(c) 1988, 1985 Lucasfilm Ltd. (LFL) and Tengen
All rights reserved.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is a
trademark of Lucasfilm Ltd., used under license
Licensed to Mindscape, Inc.
Printed in Japan."
So, who made the game and who published it? I thought that one was made by Tengen and one by someone else, but this states that something is copyright Tengen. Weren't all of Tengen's carts that funky black thing?

Nice discovery! Maybe Mindscape worked together with Tengen to get the license from Lucasfilm Ltd.?
As for the black Tengen cartridges, there were three titles also released in licensed format: Gauntlet, Pac-Man, and the first RBI Baseball.
