Rotary phones where pretty nice.  I still keep a couple of cord phones.  Yes they do work in normal power outages unlike your cordless.

Some cordless phones work fine in a power outage. :-)

Possibly.  But I was referring to our cordless phone.  It has a battery backup for when the power goes out.  It has come in handy on more than one occasion.

reading it theer seams nothing wrong, she rented the phone and paid the bill thats how it works, So the phone was an old kind nothing wrong with that either she liked it was good enough for her so why change?

Really pushing the buttons might save you what 30 seconds over turning the dial so what???

WTF? Did you miss the whole point of the article? She paid $14000 for a phone she could easily have bought for $30 at any department store. If she liked the phone, she probably could have bought the EXACT SAME MODEL. She's really dumb. That's it. No more questions.
