I thought this was a great movie. Any one else seen it yet, and what were their thoughts?

It really has you thinking... for a while after, but eventually I was able to decide it was really good, and I will get it on DVD when it is avalible here in Australia.... witch will be a while since it's only come out in the cinemas recently here.

I agree the ending was a bit crap, but it seems to be the thing at the moment though doesn't it with the non-hollywood endings.

I thought the film was quite good though, and also thought it was a bit violent for a 15.

It sucked major balls.

Until a man with a triangle head pulled off some chick's skin.

Then it sucked major monkey balls.

Until there was razor wire rape.

Then it sucked great balls of fire.

Then it was over.

I was not impressed with this movie.  I hate the catch endings with movies lately.  They end up going in my sale/trade pile which is exactly where this POS ended up.  I can understand the game but the movie was alittle confusing until the end when she explained it all too you.  Just like the resident evil movie based on the game but difficult to follow.  I'm suprised I even finished watching this movie.  I had such high hopes for it but O well.  I think Fatal Frame or Haunting Ground would make a good movie.

It was ok.

I think Leon pointed out all the coolest parts though.

Skin ripping, razor wire.

I saw the movie with my cuz and a few friends. My favorite reaction at the end.
"That dude with the sword was pretty sweet at least"
Dan says "There was a guy with a sword?"
We all laugh at him in disbelief and make him feel stupid and point out how massive the sword was and how the sound if it being dragged was what shook the theater.

I thought it was a good movie. I also did not like the ending. I give it an 7 out of 10.

Every time I think about Silent Hill it hurts my brain. How can a movie be soooooooo sooooooo good and sooooooo soooooo bad at the same time?

On one hand, the visuals and sound are very effective. The movie is really creepy. Especially in the theater, with the speakers blasting radio white noise effects and grinding metal screeching, it really messes with you.

On the other hand, the ending makes no sense at all. The story makes very little sense at all. It's sort of a mess.

It's an entertaining mess though.

Compared to all of the other flaming piles of crap they call video-game based movies, Silent Hill was actually pretty good IMO.  Pyramid Head definately did not have a big enough role, though.
