Everyone knows the story of Aladdin, so I figured this would be the perfect title to feature for Disney week!  Everyone loves Disney...well, you better, or the man will find you.  Anyway, post your comments about this 2D side scrolling adventure!  If you have never played it, get a genesis and a cart of it!  It's worth the effort!

I've really only played the SNES version, though I do have the Gen version too.  It is a really fun games, I still have a piece of paper that my sister, cousins, and I wrote all the passwords on.
Are there any differences between the Gen. and SNES versions?

Aladdin for SNES was amazing. I remember wasting a ton of time on that when I was young.

I used to have this game for the Sega Genesis. I spent countless hours playing this game when I was younger. Not only was it fun to play but it also looked good.

They're completely different games. I preferred the Mega Drive version over the SNES one.

I used to have it on DOS back in 1993 or whenever it was out. It came in a double pack with the Lion King. The DOS version is the same as the Mega Drive version.

I also never played this game.  The only Aladdin game I ever played is the PAL exclusive for NES, and it sucked Wink

Oh this was a great game.
Like most Mega Drive games I played, I never owned it, but hired it instead.

(Back in the glory of the 16-bit era, gaming was so great, every Friday I came home from school to find my dad had hired a new game for me to play over the weekend)

I managed to make it through it, and it truly was a classic, nice graphics, music, gameplay, it had it all.
It's good to see it get the spotlight.

Had no idea the SNES version was different though, I'm gonna have to Google it and see how different it is now.

I loved this game for genesis.

I played it ALOT but never beat it.
It was the worst when me and my bro had to swap after every life.
Because it would be me getting a couple levels in and dieing(the spelling of this word sucks) and then him wasting a life and me not being able to get much farther because of it.

I never played it for SNES or if i did i don't remember doing so.

This game was in my dentist's office. I liked to play it. Never owned it though, but then I never owned a Genesis.

Just a minor note, it also plays great on the Sega Nomad. In the short time I had a Nomad, this was one of the games I got for it. So scratch the never owned it part, just didn't own it for long just last year.

When I was little my dentist did too, I can't remember what he had but I remember an SNES and a Genny in there, at least one of each.  It would really calm me down before I went in.  My GB/GBA never really completely does the trick.  What I would give for a grown-up-person's dentist to have video games in the lobby...

My dentist had fish (real ones, not the screensaver), but I got to try Aladdin (SNES ver.) myself as a rental.

Every game seems when you're a kid, then you grow up and realize that they haven't been making them as hard as they used to.

My dentist had nothing.

You know what game was really tough when I was a kid? Fuckin' Home Alone 2! Now that was freakin hard. I really want to find a used copy of that.
