More VHS madness.  I felt kind of weird buying the Elvira tape at a Salvation Army thrift while Christian rock was playing over the speakers and the clerk was wearing a cross necklace.  All of a sudden I felt like a pervert that was going to get scolded by a nun.

I've noticed that never turned up in any format locally as well.  Then one day I found VHS copies at 4 different thrift stores I went to.  It's weird how that happens.

Maybe it just didn't sell well in some areas after Highlander II?

The fact that Highlander was still a franchise after Highlander 2 is amazing.  I suppose there had to be some fallout.

Anyways, grabbed some more DVDs and VHS from a flea market I went to today:

Jason Goes to Hell was one of the last Friday the 13th movies I didn't have.  The other is Jason X which I know I had at one point, but it's disappeared.  I didn't even know someone attempted to make a third Creepshow movie, so I bought it even though I'm sure it's going to blow.  The Jaws VHS is a two tape 25th anniversary edition.  No Retreat, No Surrender absolutely does NOT star Jean-Claude Van Damme.  He's like the 10th lead in this movie.  It's like Bela Lugosi in Plan 9, but Van Damme is still alive.

Tell me about it, I was surprised to learn it actually crawled along until 2007. I love the TV Show and all, but by the last season even it was kinda dragging.

Mitchell is one of my favorite episodes of MST3K.  It makes me so happy to get this for 25 cents.  I already have it on DVD, but I can never have enough Mitchell in my life.

Yeah was only $6. I'll need to find the others. Looking for a dexter box set too, and some 80's cartoon ones.

As if VHS weren't an odd enough thing to collect, I went and bought these:

I don't even have a laserdisc player, but for 50 cents a piece I couldn't pass these up.  The thrift I saw these at had a few more, so I might go and see if they are still there this weekend.  They weren't movies I was terribly interested in so I figured I'd leave them there in case there was another odd person like me around who might actually want them.

I kinda of remember this from when I was a teenager in like Jr High(or early High-School) and it was $6 in the Dollar Store for 5 Discs/14+ hours so I grabbed it.

What dollar store did you get that from?  I loved that show as a kid and I'd love to grab that for that cheap.

Anyways, here's what the missus and I got for Christmas.  It was a big haul.

The Disney movies are my wife's and I bought her most of them.
