These aren't DVD's, but I have to mention the VHS I'm picking up somewhere, so why not here.

Blurays are not DVDs either. Don't worry i don't think anyone is going to run you out of town over it :-P

More DVD madness!

I don't know how, but I never picked up either Poltergeist or the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre until now.  Seems like I should have had both of those years ago.

I also grabbed these two.  The 8 movie pack is from Amazon and the other one is from a thrift, both are simply amazing.

Both of these were at Goodwill and had both discs, so I grabbed them. I love collector's editions.

Who in the world thinks VHS tapes are worth $2 each? I even still buy the occasional VHS because I like old media, and have a VCR hooked up, but $2?!

Beats me, that's kinda absurd. Around here that's what used DVDs run at sales. I would say VHS tape are worth $0.25-$1 depending on what it is.

There are some that might be worth $2 to me, but it would have to be a cut of the movie that is only available on VHS or something like that.  Even then I'm pretty sure I could pass.  But speaking of VHS, I bought these from Amazon a week or two ago:

The big box in the middle is a collection of 5 shot on video horror movies from the 80's.  The best part about it is that all five of the movies are on DVD, but the feature film, The Basement is also on VHS:

Those look sweet. Yeah the savers and goodwill price the VHS tapes kinda high. A Shame I would buy more if they were cheaper. Don't have to worry about scratches on VHS

nearly finished the sherlock holmes books and decided i want to watch as many adaptations as i can find. spent about $200 on a bunch of blu-rays and dvds at HMV, and ordered a blu-ray complete set of the 1939 film series.

Except for the scratches on the picture quality Tongue

I've decided to stop buying DVDs, actually been unloading them on amazon trade in provided I can get more than a dollar for them.

I got these from thrift stores this weekend.  I've only seen a couple of episodes of Entourage but everyone says the show is awesome.  I figured for $4 it's worth getting the first season.  Even if I hate it I can probably trade it in somewhere and get my $4 back.  The VHS is this Roswell conspiracy theory thing that was aired on Fox back in the mid 90's.  I love paranoid alien conspiracy theory shows.
