I found two DVDs of some obscure Science Fiction show for $1.50 each, I've never heard of it, but it looks interesting.

I saw the first season on DVD at Target a few months back for $5.  I really should have grabbed it then because I haven't seen it since.  I never watched the show, but hey, an entire season of a science fiction show for $5.

Target is good about that, I got the first season of He-Man there for like $2.99 off the cheap DVDs rack.

Starhunter was a sci-fi series from the early 2000's. The first season is called Starhunter and the second season changes things up a bit and is called Starhunter 2300. The plan was to wrap up the story in a third season which was never made. The show is actually good sci-fi, although very low budget. Don't expect much out of the sets and secondary actors, the few that there are. There is some more than passable acting out of some of the main characters but I did wonder about the casting at times. Fortunately, being the 2000's the special effects aren't so bad as to be distracting, that is, if you like sci-fi tv shows to begin with.

My wife and I have the first season and have yet to get (and watch) the second. I wouldn't put this high on the list of all time great sci-fi but there are some notable things to it if you are a fan of the genre. We paid $5 for it, I am happy with that price but we are kinda fans of such things.

I picked these up from a Blockbuster by my office that is closing down for $1 a piece.

Most of them are meh at best, but for $1 I figured each of them were worth it.  When I went out thrifting today I grabbed The Satanic Rites of Dracula and 6 movies on VHS, mostly 80's horror.

u did like me, although some of my movies were $.70 to $2 as i went on three separate occasions. Increased my horror collection with some no name movies and picked up notables like Snakes on the Plane, The Reaping, Despicable Me and Conan

Speaking of Walmart, I grabbed The Puppet Master Collection for $5 which has Puppet Master 1-9 on it.  I wasn't even aware they made that many, but they should be fun.  I also grabbed Prom Night (1980), Halloween and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein on VHS for 25 cents a piece from a thrift.  Apparently I collect VHS now.

My family didn't get our first DVD player until I was like 12, so I have a metric crap-ton of them.

I really enjoyed this doc, so I picked it up along with the bonus interviews.

These aren't DVD's, but I have to mention the VHS I'm picking up somewhere, so why not here.  These were all 25 cents a piece at a thrift.

Hey, if you have any shitty 80's horror movies, let me know and I'll take 'em off your hands.  That's kind of my thing.
