Yesterday night I picked up from a Craigslist purchase a mint condition Pioneer Elite CLD-53 Laserdisc player + remote.  Very, very high quality player (does digital optical audio output, direct cd load tray, and auto reverse).  I got it at an amazing price ($50).

the guy i bought it off was really nice (even sent me a followup email today to make sure i got it working, was happy with it, and to make sure i didn't have any usage questions because he no longer had the manual)

the guy also knew what it was worth, but wanted to sell it local to avoid shipping, ebay, etc. and said he would rather see it go to a good home to someone that was more local to him...

i made out huge on this one and it was a great deal for me..

past few weeks

60 mint condition laser discs --> $50
Pioneer Elite CLD-53 mint condition player w/remote --> $50
