I broke the corner of one of the small leg bones off. So the plate was to hold that together and on the other side of my ankle I had the ligaments  sewn back together.

God I love hockey!

Shudders.

That sucks, and sounds really painful. Somehow I have not had the misfortune of breaking a bone / getting stiches (knocks on wood), though I did lose my two front teeth when I was 4, and my bottom incisors both have chips in them. Guess I was lucky back in the day when I played soccer and baseball.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

when i broke my leg back in 96 the bill was over 10.000.00 thousand dollars  insurance did pay almost all of it.

I broke my ankle in what sounds to be a similar way to Anthony's brother. I have a plate and 7 screws in my leg/ankle area still.

Total cast was about 11k and I DIDN'T have insurance. I was back ice skating in about 2 months after the break.

lol   sounds close to what happened to me I had what they called a green tree break where the bone breaks long ways instead on across Ive got plates from mid way down my shin to bottom of ankle and a dozen screws ..you can actually feel the heads on several of the srews thur my skin..it doesnt bother me to much unti lit gets really cold..I broke mine playing soft ball  did a complete circle but my foot didnt move..You could here the bone snaping  actually sounded like a stick when you braeal it....

I got home a few minutes after he had finished crawling upstairs the other day, yes crawled he left his crutches in the room.  lol

He just HAD to play Dragon Quest VIII and couldn't wait 10 mins for someone to get back home.
