Who would have thought some 15 years ago that a little pink blob known as Kirby would ever become the foundation for the flagship franchise of HAL Laboratories. But, as time as shown, Masahiro Sakurai's creation has become one of the more popular franchises in Nintendo's arsenal, and could be argued to be the most popular franchise in HAL's arsenal. It all started with this one GameBoy game. Warp Stars, Microphones that Kirby screams into to kill everything on screen, the ability of Kirby to swallow most every enemy and spit them out as a star projectile, King Dedede-- All those idea's and the pink blob known as Kirby came into fruition in this game known as Kirby's Dreamland.

This title has spawned many sequels, and created a character that is easily identified with Nintendo and many of it's franchises. Kirby's even been lucky enough to star in his own TV show and be apart of the amazing franchise known as Super Smash Bros. Truly the story of Kirby is a bright one, and one can only hope that his future continues to stay bright.

Or the copy i got from my cuz as a kid.

I played it SOOO much.
King Dedede felt my wrath many a time.

I don't remember the alternate version code though to play the game a second time harder after beating it the first time.

One of my first Game Boy games was Kirby's Dream Land, one of my favorite games for the system.  It's really easy, sure, but it was really nicely done, like playing an NES game on a tiny screen.  Then it was turned into an NES game, that did make it a bit cooler. lol

Good game.  I was pretty happy to find a loose copy for around six bucks a while back.   Now if I could just find a cheap copy of the sequel...
