Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus
«

I picked up Dirge of Cerberus a couple days ago. The story line is great, I love the fact that you play as Vincent, the sound track is pretty cool, the voice acting is pretty good (most of the actors from advent children come back to play their roles in DoC). The game play however is a disappointment your fights are only with three or four guys at a time, your guns rate of fire and reload is ridiculously slow, and you only have a three hit melee combo. It works, but it's not very exciting. If you like Final Fantasy 7 and Advent Children I'd recommend it for its story and not the game play.

Based on principle, reviews, and fan reaction, this is the best Final Fantasy ever because many people don't like it.
You see, I hate the Final Fantasy series with a passion. I think that series is possibly the worst game series of all-time. However, I've always thought the best FF related game was Chocobo Racing, and that game was hated by FF fanboys, so I'll assume that Dirge is the same way.
So in conclusion, Dirge rules because FF fans don't like it.

I may pick this up once the price drops. For now, dont forget to add this to your collection. As I input the game into the database earlier today.

I agree with Tondog. FF is over-rated. It's mostly just scrub gaming schlock, pumped out to appease the legion of fan-girl/fan-boy queermos who like to drool over ridiculously androgynous man-child creatures and nonsensical, convoluted storylines. Whenever the series does anything that even resembles decent or challenging gameplay (like FF8) the fans despise it, because they lack the skill required to play.

Tondog, you might want to try her out before you dump her.
FFVII has an awesome story (at least I remember one particular cutscene involving Aeris and Sepiroth's sword to be awesome) and great gameplay, it manages to cover nearly every genre, and I heard that in Japan a copy of the game saved the world from a demon bent on casting the world into a 1000 year darkness.
I even seem to remember watching Shin Evil Leon play it for many an hour. If you have a Playstation you should check it out.

I am not some fanboy "little kid" and I must say that I really liked FF 7.
Of course I liked the older ones best.

I'm not a "fanboy queermo" and I thought the system in FF8 sucked. Not because it was new, complicated, challenging, or anything like that but because it was fucking retarded.

Have you played 1,2 or 3? Great games on the NES and SNES.

Done it. Tried playing it for 4 hours. Didn't like it. Got bored quickly. Gave up on it. Thank you very much.

Too bad the demon didn't win.

Dang, way to make me lose some respect for him.
