Really want to try those Yakuza games, I hear they are pretty awesome.

They are. Every single one.

...Except Dead Souls, it's a spinoff and a pretty big departure from the main games.  Definitely play one of the main entries first.

Forgot about that one and it's the only one I haven't played yet! Wink

It's ok, worth playing only if you're a fan of the series, but it doesn't even compare to 3 & 4 (I haven't played 1 & 2 yet, still keeping my fingers crossed for the HD remaster).  I can easily see somebody being put off though if that was their first exposure to Yakuza, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it as an introduction to the series.

So I stop in at my local GameStop often during my lunch break to kill some time, and I see some really weird people there every now and then.

Just today, I was browsing one of the game shelves, when some dude peers at me from behind the Vita games shelf.  The encounter pretty much went like this:

Him:  Psst...Hey, you like amine? [misspelling intentional]
Me:  What?
Him:  You like amine?
Me:  I'm sorry, what?
Him:  Amine?
Me:  I'm sorry, I don't know what you're saying.
Him:  (points to a copy of Danganronpa) Amine.
Me:  Oh, anime!  No, I don't really watch any anime.
Him:  You know Master Chief?
Me:  (points to the copy of Master Chief Collection in my hand)  This Master Chief?
Him:  Yeah, he's coming to Atlanta.
Me:  ....You know he's a fictional character right?
Him:  Yeah, the guy who does his voice is coming to Atlanta.
Me:  Oh, cool.

The guy turns and I take the opportunity to walk away.

I love those types of conversations.  Back when I was a kid I didn't think it would get any weirder (Me: "Do you like RPGs?". Him: "Wolverines!" *mimes waving gun in air*), but it just keeps getting better with time.  My current favs are the "I-don't-play-games-I-play-Candy-Crush" ones.  And the people who doggedly insist on saying "Japanimation."

I forgot to put a bid in on a cheap MK PC game today.
It was from Israel and had a bunch of retail stickers with Hebrew on it.

Oh well 10 bucks i can put towards something i need instead.

Forget about using racing wheels to play Farming Simulator, you'll be driving your vehicle with a properly tilted, center sprung steering wheel with 900 degrees of turning and a wheel turning knob—just like the real thing! On the wheel, a Mini-stick controls your movement when not in your vehicle and real buttons allow you to use your in-game PDA. Gas and brake pedals come standard with the wheel, too."

Love this, I asked for Farming Simulator for the PS3 for Christmas.  I hope I get it, because I am tired of having a life and leaving the house.

"PSW Vol 56" only seems to be a DVD of game previews... Am I right to assume it doesn't qualify for a DB entry?

Not a standalone one, unless it has PS2-specific content on it.

Pretty sure it's just a standard video DVD. The runtime is ~100 minutes.

Rumor has it MvC: Origins will be getting pulled from XBLA before the end of the year.

Leads me to believe same thing *might* happen with PSN.

I'm going to have to make a "splint" for my last wired 360 controller.
After years of service it appears the wire is loose and/or frayed and has dropped connection on me a few times tonight when it gets moved in just the right position.
