I've never played Saints Row before. Loaded up my JP copy to test before it hits eBay.

Intro was good.
As soon as i got control of my character my first thought was "He is wearing a diaper under those pants." Then while running around a bit that is all i could think because that is what it looks like....

Anyways game works and i have just admitted to having never played a single entry in (yet another) supposedly phenomenal series....

Seems like another shot at Street Fighter:

Out of all the April Fool's videos I watched today the Happy Video Game Nerd's is probably my favorite.

My dvd drive in my primary 360 died a week or 2 ago. Finally got a chance to give a good shot at repairs.
Was able to get the disc to spin up to speed after about 30 mins of tinkering but it still won't read anything.

I think this is likely what happened to it.

Up in the air on if i should find some CL guy to replace the drive. Since it requires more than just unplug DVD drive plug in new same model DVD drive. You have to flash shit and soldier shit and probably shit shit and some other shit.

Been a few weeks since i loaded it up with a disc but AFAIK the launch system i bought from Terry still works great. If i had bought that system from anyone else i think it would have burst into flames already.

EDIT
Someone said i should watch out for spartans. Sloppily made this pic as response.

Unless you have some strange drive you don't have to soldier anything.

I thought you only had to flash the HDD, unless you're not just utilizing one from another one? I haven't looked into a DVD swap, just an HDD swap, though my RE5 box had disc tray issues for the longest time...until I moved it to a cooler environment, and it's been happy since.

And if you don't flash it you need to soldier in new components.
One of which i do not have the tools/interest in learning how to do and the other one i do not have the tools to do.

Also from the research i did do into it the RE5 system Lite-On dvd drive is the hardest to replace from a flashing standpoint.

I too wonder when soldiering is needed for drive swaps. Solder I can understand but unless a BF game is required to be in the drive during the swap, soldiers aren't really needed.
