So I just saw the trailer for TMNT. Not the old TMNT with its 3 sequels, but the new TMNT, due to come out on March 30, 2007. Those who want to see it can view it here.  Watching this trailer one can see that the movie is going to be CG, and appears to be based off of the new models of the the Turtles. Now, perhaps I am in the minority, but please, why couldn't they just leave the Turtles Alone? They had a glorious run in the late 80s early 90s, and those of us from that era probably made the creators of the Turtles very, very rich. But this movie, is the new TMNT as popular as the old series was? I surely doubt it, Saturday cartoons in this era just aren't what they used to be. Why get up early on Saturday when you can just watch Cartoon Network? Personally I value my sleep and I am sure most kids do as well. So, what are they aiming to do? Capitalize on the memories of my generation, or create a colossal bomb? I don't know, but I hope there are enough kids out there in the world that want to see this movie, as I wish the Turtles would remain a memory from my childhood, one where I can reminisce about how great cartoons were back in the day. But, no, they have to make this crap. Sigh.

Dude, you guys remember how long the lines were for the original TMNT movies back in the early 90's!?!?  I actually liked those movies.  Smiley  Of course I was about 10 years old.

You no like the Now? Sure redux was crap but the original was pure gold. I still wonder what happened to Coppola. He lost his magic.

I still have my TMNT movies from the from the 90's. I havent watched them in a few years. Gotta love the old VHS. After reading this I might just have to dust them off and re-watch them.

I wouldnt go and pay 12 some-odd dollars to go to the cinima to see the new one. But I would definilty give it a shot as a rental. Hey if not for anything it will make me feel like a real geezer. LOL
Well Izret would think so.
