Playing plenty more Aspalt 2 for the DS, it's like a mix of Burnout 3 takedown mode and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit with all the cop/bandit chases, different vehicles and upgrades.

Grargh! Somehow I'm still hanging on to Forza 2. It's probably because I've got 3 gamer points for owning all the cars from two countries and I like round numbers, so I'm trying to get the other two points. But that means getting to level 50 then doing some races and I'm at level 44. Angry

Yesterday played the demos for Eternal Sonata (a very underrated title, imo), Beautiful Katamari (seems like a fun title) and Bioshock (twice!).

Also played 4P+ multiplayer at Den's last night. Far Cry Instincts: Evolution and Halo 2.

I'm up to level 49 in Forza 2 but it's becoming really hard to hold onto any interest to get to level 50 to unlock an endurance race to win a car so that I'll have all the cars from France which will give me the extra 1 Gamer Point to have a nice round achievement score.

Huzzah! I finally got all the cars from France by finishing a 35 lap race in just over an hour. Now I can rest easy knowing I've got a nice round number of achievement points.

Evening edit: I turned the Xbox 360 on and was about to put the Forza 2 disc in but cried a little and decided to play the Bioshock demo again, which made me happy.

But then I played one of the recent demos much like Waverace and Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. I can't remember the name now because it was so dull. That made me unhappy.

I want to get it but my limit is £30, so there's no chance I'm paying the £40 everywhere is selling it at. The cheapest I can find is £40 less a £5 voucher code - £35. That's still too much for me.

It's not that I can't afford it, it's just the principle of being charged so much. We get shafted so much here and it's because people are willing to pay for it. It's the same people who complain about the prices being high that are paying those prices. I don't want to be a complainer that lets it happen anyway.

Xbox 360 games have an RRP of $60 in the US, don't they? The RRP here is still £50 ($100) but most places have been charging £40 for new games for a while now. You got your's for ~$38, didn't you? Would you have happily spent $80 for a bog-standard version?

The term is "rip off Britain" where we're charged twice as much as anywhere else just because we put up with it.

Edit: Having said all that, I've just ordered it for £30.60.  Grin

Edit: Never mind, the turd burglars have cancelled my order. Angry
