Got to the final Zues battle in God of War II. My friend, who is not so good at the game, can't last six seconds against him. I got to the third stage, then I got sloppy and pissed and it was 4:30 so we called it a night

Played Backgammon on Pogo with Sue last night.
The previous 4 days were spent board-gaming: Zombietown, Conquest of Pangea, Carcassone, Tsuro, Venus Needs Men, Settlers of Catan, Amazonas, and NHL Icebreaker Hockey (poker Hockey).

I have been playing Full Auto on the 360. Pretty fun game. It is like a 2007 version or RC Pro Am.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X
I normally play with flight simulators for 15 minutes then get bored and do something else. I don't know why I bought this one and it was no different. I flew over my town a few times, realised it's nothing like my town, then stopped playing.
But obviously 20 minutes isn't long enough to decide it's a bit boring, so I went back and tried some missions. The first one I tried was a glider. I had to do a circuit, I think about 60 miles around. I didn't know what I was doing but I just about managed it, going as low as 250ft at some points. I finished that mission in 1 hour 7 minutes. I had a break and went back to see if there was a tutorial for gliders. I tried the tutorial and it showed how in depth MS Flight Simulator finally is. 2000/2002/2004 were really just minor graphical improvements. The gliding tutorial showed how to use thermals and updrafts from mountains.
There are a lot of people saying it's not graphically better than FS2004 unless it's played on a top-top end system. I started by leaving it at the default settings (which I assume were optimised for my system) and checking the frame rate, which was at 25fps to a peak of 41 over a town near London. Having checked that, I installed the 208MB patch which, amongst other things, makes the game use both cores of the processor. This made the frame rate over the same area with the same settings jump to 60-80fps. I put some settings a bit higher so that it hangs around 25-30fps, a playable frame rate. At these settings it looks much better than FS2004.
Give it a chance and it becomes a good game.

Played Eragon (360) and the Ace Combat 6 demo. The demo was good, every bit as good as the PS2 games, but it also
looks
like the PS2 versions as well. Hopefully that will change.

Updated my 360 to see how well Morrowind GOTY edition works, works perfectly. Created a character and did some looting just to doubly make sure.
