Last night I was playing Half Life 2. The graphics are pretty crap on this computer because I have to put all the settings on low. There should be a huge difference when I get my new PC, though.

Tonight I spent some time on Escape From Monkey Island.

Good fun but the controls are a bit slow and confusing. The Curse Of was very intuitive, using the mouse for everything. Right click to bring up options, left click to move etc. Escape from uses one key from one side of the keyboard, and another from the other side. It can be reprogrammed but I didn't bother.

Took off my headset for once and played a little Medieval 2. God I love this game. I started a campaign as the Spanish and, after getting in a territorial dispute with the frogs over a rebel territory, made a giant army of Jinetes, who are these mounted javelin chucker dudes that can inflict mass casualties and then run away, and I pwned all over France, pillaging farmland and annihilating any armies they threw at me. I followed this with a small army of infantry and siege machines to knock down the walls of all their under garrisoned cities. When I captured a city I exterminated it's population. So France is gone, it's land a smoldering wasteland with only a few survivors left to pay me tribute. Next I'll either go after the Moors or head towards Italy, although I'll have to watch out for England and Germany getting grabby.

The Pope's being a Jackass so I think I'll go deal with him. Problem with this game is you can't install a puppet pope like in the first medieval, you have to kill him over and over until your guy gets into power.

Played a crap load of Pheonix Wright 2. I completed case 2 and I can safely say I literally have never been that amazed in my life.

Also, Metroid Redesign, screw Norfair lol.

Do you usually play through both campaigns?

About how long does it take?

I like to play through both campaigns to keep things interesting.

I've beaten the game in 50 hours but right now I'm close to 60 hours. I'm trying to beat every battle.

Phoenix Wright case 3, kind of a lame case so far but I'm sure it will get better. Also Metroid Redesign, got the power bombs. Can't seem to find a way out of Norfair. Looking forward to visiting the Lost Caverns(they took out the wrecked ship in favor of this apparantly) and also the objective of the game is different than that of Super Metroid.

I haven't heard of this.  Is this a web based game or what?

Haf Life 2 on full settings at 100-150fps. Bloody marvelous. Grin I used to think my old laptop could handle it well on nearly medium settings at 40fps. Roll Eyes

Unfortunately, the game saves I copied over only go up to an hour before where I was and it's too late in the day for me to be bothered to really get into the game. I was just playing around now to see what full settings are like.
