Finally bumped up to doing only Gold level ME3 mulitplayer rounds. Doing pretty well so far.
I'm just getting back into this. Seems a bit more difficult than before with the new enemy types.

Played Army of Two: The 40th Day for more or less the whole afternoon/night yesterday. Got screwed out of one of the achievements so i will be wasting another night again on in some time.
After a few hours i finally managed to crush Yusei in YuGiOh 5Ds with a nearly stock deck. I only swapped 3 cards for an earlier duel. That person constantly used healing stuff so i put a card in there that made them lose life equal to what they should have gained. I swapped in some monster card and one other trap/spell card i can't remember now

More YuGiOh
Lots of losing. I think they ramped up the decks i am playing against after i beat Yusei. I literally lost one game on the 3rd turn... and i was still in the primaries.

The Collectors can be pretty rough on Gold and Platinum. Personally I prefer to go up against Geth. The Bombers are a pain, but everything else moves slow enough and no instant kills.
I think the added weapons help balance it out. The Typhoon can rip through baddies if you're on a close quarters map, and the Indra is pretty great for the stretched out ones.

Re-read Slackur's article on disc rot (it showed up in "Nielsen's Favorite Articles" on the sidebar the other day) and I've started backing up my games again, since I can do it on my laptop while working. This also has me submitting variations as I notice them (a good side effect).

In my ongoing battle with Phelios yesterday I made it to the level 4 boss only losing one continue. I decided then that this was it, I was going to do everything I could to beat this game today! The level 4 boss has projectiles you can kill for a good amount of points and won't attack otherwise unless you hit him. So I parked myself off to the side, turn on turbo and left the game to auto harvest some extra lives for me.
After 35 minutes i checked back. 7 lives! Just a little more!
After 15 more minutes I'm at 0 lives and on my last continue...
I just don't know what went wrong. MAYBE I'll try again today...
I've started The Nightmare of Druaga recently as well and I'm really enjoying it. It plays a lot like Izuna on the DS so I'm betting I'll have a good time with it.

I guess but it seems kind of odd to me that the pattern stay the same for nearly 40 mins THEN change...I guess the programmers could of anticipated someone farming for lives at that point.

3D Dot Game Heroes
(PS3) - Forest Temple is pesky in spots, but I enjoy the overall difficulty curve in this game.

Never underestimate the power of a bored programmer.
