Farcry 3: Five missions left. Great game but you can become overpowered fast.

Hoping for Far Cry 3 for Birthmas.  Are you just going through missions/quests or are you roaming around finding random things to do?

Let me ask around the office for you, Bil. I know someone that installs video cards with Far Cry 3 vouchers. If you're willing to deal with a voucher, I think I can get you one.

I'm mostly going through missions/quests. I've almost completed all of the side quests, with a few random things thrown in. If you liked the random stuff in Oblivion/Skyrim than expect more of that in Farcry 3. (on a smaller scale) It is not uncommon for the game to spawn a tiger next to a pack of deer, or see some pirates being attacked by a pack of wild dogs.

I was in a chat with a buddy playing FarCry 3.
He had nothing but praise for the game. Except when he had to kill a tiger with a bow and arrow.
Then he had nothing but praise for people who could hunt with bows in real life. lol

I decided to take a crack at a legendary solo playthrough of Halo 4. I managed to get through the first chapter last night. I think that with patience I might actually pull this off.

More Hitman, more disappointment with the story driven level design and scoring system. Keep playing though, and it has its moments.

So I was wandering around the Plaza on Nintendo Land today and one of the random Miis in the place had "keep it on channel 3" over his head. Bickman2k was in my Plaza!!!!

that's awesome. i haven't paid too close attention to the Miis in my plaza, i should watch out for the people on my friend's list. by the way i've noticed something weird about mine, maybe you'll know what's going on as it sounds like you've been playing more than me. whenever i get new prizes from the plinko game, i walk around opening them and realise that a lot of ones i'm opening are the same as ones i've already opened before. what i can't figure out is if the prizes are truly random so sometimes you just get the same thing you already had, or if it's a glitch that is making me have to re-open prizes for no reason. i know there's the button you can open/close all of them instantly, but it's not that...most are still open when i run into this. and i prefer to manually open them all, it makes it easier to know which ones are new right away instead of opening them with the switch and then just coming across them later.

I've never opened the same one twice and I'm at 178/200 trophies right now. You already mentioned the button that re-boxes them and that's the only thing I could think of that's happening. Sorry I can't be any more help with that.

On a side note I just beat Nintendo Land!! Got the Gold Star in every attraction followed by a credit roll and end screen! Now to clean up the rest of the stamps (60/80), trophies (178/200), and Platinum Trophies (2/6)

Think I may get Farcry 3, only wonder is if my PC can handle it. Anyone played it on a rig as opposed to a console?

I'm played it on the PC:

Win 7 SP1
4 GB
2X Dual Core Xeon @ 3.60
8800GTX

Ran it at 1920X1200 on medium settings. DX9

NeoGaf has a thread on this you might find helpful:

I'm running through Link to the Past again.  I'm at Moldorm in the Death Mountain Palace....the damn jerk keeps knocking me off the ledge on the last hit!  He shoulda been dead 15 hits ago.  If this happened when I was 10 I woulda thrown the game against the wall.
