Racked up about 6-7 hours of Baiten Kaitos for the Cube over the last couple days. I forgot how horrible the voice acting/dialouge is in that game. The great battle system and story make up for it though. Plus I get a few lols from the spoken parts from time to time.
My wife and I went over to her friends house for some gaming. Played Rock Band 1/2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Mega Man 9 (he was stuck after 1 boss so I helped him finish the game off), Soul Calibur IV and something called N+ I think all on his 360.
I remembered why I cant stand Rockband... the little pills are impossible to hit. I absolutely suck at that game even on Medium, but for some reason I can 5 Star most songs on expert on GH. I dont know 90% of the songs on either game though so I'm not a huge fan of the tracklists. I'll stick to the first 3 on PS2 (GH, GHII and 80s).
I had a lot of fun showing off my Mega Man skills (which I havnt really gotten to do since I was like 10). He finished Galaxy Man and couldnt beat anyone else. I'd finish a new boss for him then tell him which to fight next and he'd die before the halfway point everytime. I didnt lose a life on any of my turns and looked like a real pro/jackass. Good times.
I really dislike 3D fighters, but asked if I could try some Soul Calibur IV anyway. Blah, they still stink. He didnt seem to be much of a fan either.
N+ was ok. I'd pay for it if it was a NES cart, but thats about it. I could see myself losing interest in it after 30 minutes.
I convinced him to come over on Saturday so we can game at our place. No idea what we'll play yet, but it should be fun!!

Why if it were an NES cart? What would make it so much different?

I have a hard time paying for anything I can't physically own. I also didnt feel that it would be worth more than $2-$4 (which is the price for your typical NES cart).

I didn't really care for N+ either. Not really my thing. I played the first few stages and turned it off. I doubt I'll pick it up again.
Because I couldn't get myself into Disgaea (yet), I started playing God of War: Chains of Olympus again. Fun stuff, but I'm struggling to find the 'strategy' involved. I'm really no good at the game. Is anyone here very good at God of War?

How about getting it for free? It's not N+, but rather the original game, N. Download it here for Windows, Mac, or Linux:
http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/n_downloads.html
N+ is also on DS and PSP in case you'd rather get it there.

Have a total of 15 hours into Chrono Trigger after about a week of playing. I've been getting extra sidequests done. Heading off to Geno Dome in 2300A.D. Also played Castle Crashers a bit with Kimoosabi, Alfador, and Feechy then later on, got on it again with Kimoosabi to collect all the pets and got the Animal Handler achievement.

^Is Castle Crashers worth the 1200 MS points? I liked what I played from the demo, but couldn't get enough of a feel for the whole game in order for it to convince me to buy in. Can you save progress on it or are you locked in to play it to the finish?

One of the greatest plot twists in anything ever. Then more and more twists. Jesus the second half of the game is unreal story wise.

Its very good, but my favorite game plot twist was in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Its just so brutal and awesome!!

I tried getting back into BK also but something about the voice acting and the name Jaqamo (SP?) turned me off of it for a while again.
And I loved Castlevania: Lament of Innocence story-wise. I hope in the next Castlevania we get a new Belmont to take up the whip and quit using the "Richter losing the whip" as a story line spring board.
Playing Mischief Makers right now, just got to world 4. I'm still deciding whether to go back and try to get all the gold gems I missed.

It was Giacomo and yes the voice acting is horrid. Good for some lulz though.
I would love another Castlevania game along the lines of Lament of Innocence. I hated Curse of Darkness.
