About halfway through the second disc of Grandia (PS1), playing Doom 3 and Dungeon Siege on PC, started Luigi's Mansion (GC) and played a selection of NES favourites - Battletoads, W&W and Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu
- to celebrate getting my retro stuff out of storage

Played a few hours of Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic The Hedgehog 2. I decided that my genesis needed a good run.

More SMCR on Deity. There's gotta be a way to win with the Greeks!
Everytime I get ahead on the Tech, everyone starts to threaten and attack me. Not good.
I got a better starting location on the game I'm in now, so we'll see if that helps.

^Emporer's not easy. The AI is much smarter and likes to get into tactics of
resource denial, etc. One thing I've learned to do is that if you get free
spies from Barb huts in the early game, and there's a capital nearby, steal
their gold unless there's a bigger immediate threat out of the options described.

Yeah, went back down to king and managed to get a domination as the Americans. I always get Dominations! I tried getting a Tech Victory but England, Greece, and Arabia attacked me at once. And the worst part of that is, when the Japanese were building their space station, nobody even tried to attack them. And it was hard to get enough air and ground troops to destroy 3 cities in order to reach the capital. Ah well, going to try a Culutural win as the Russians.

Usually you can bribe at least 1 of the non-leaders to go to war with the threat (i.e. Japan in this case). The trick is to have enough gold to do so and/or be willing to part with.
