just curious as to if the notion of a member blog feature has been explored? with the new boards, the arcade, growing memberlist etc. i think it'd be a nice addition.
Ones i read like other retro sites get alot of traffic and are very popular, i myself had a msn space for a few months and am thinking of starting one up somewhere else, but i'd much rather have a blog where my collection is showcased, puts a more personalized spin on the members here so we get to know each other better,
I mean we go so far as to post pictures of our game rooms, ourselves, family etc. so why not take it a step further and add some personal thoughts on all kinds of things? it would really complement the boards i think because a blog can let someone write detailed journal entries that are perhaps to long for a forum or make personal entries that they can share with others.
i'd like to subscribe to blog feeds from members here, i can tell there are people here who are willing to share more than what they do now, staff blogs with entries about site upgrades, future goals and work done would be good to read as well and i think others would enjoy that.

If it brings traffic I am for it. I never write or read blogs though.
I just noticed something about your avatar Tan.

I think this could be a good idea, like Tan said it adds a personal touch to each member. Also you could cover whatever you wanted in your blog without spamming the boards about it.
I know some people wouldn't be intrested, but it would let everyone get to know each other on a more personal, down-to-earth level.
And like you said Scott, if it brings more people in, all the better.

Sounds like an idea that could be explored. But I am sure there are a few projects that are ahead of it

Your right Rick, make sure sorting the PAL games are high on the to do list, before all of these extras.

Well, there are two programmers here, and PAL revamps and all final versions of anything new lie within the programmer that is not me.
As for a blog type thing, it could be interesting, but it would be something that is extremely different from the projects currently on the table, and would possibly take a long time to do. I would though prefer to finish the projects that are currently at hand, you know... projects A, B, and C.
