I have been watching ALOT of anime lately.

Some good ones i can suggest:

Hellsing - Vampires, Ghouls, Guns, secret organizations. It is a very very well done series great subbed and dubbed, i am glad i watched it both ways because you pick up alot more that way. You get more story and Hellsing seems more BA in english. It is only i think 16 eps long so it is shorter than most series really a shame :-/

Love Hina - A kid trying to get into Tokyo U becomes a manager at an all girls school. Antic ensue, emotional strife, lots of funny/strange stuff happens, especially with the "flying turtles". Pretty much opposite of Hellsing but still very good.

Chobits - Guy from the farms of Japan trying to get into college. Finds a persocom(basically like a sexy cyborg but way smarter, and cooler) with unexplainable powers, antics ensue, love stories, deep profound thought provoking crap happens, also has a secret organization thing. Another very good story.

Azu Manga Daioh! - I am told these were originally shown in Japan during commercial breaks or as filler. They are pretty damn funny and follow a group of school students and a few of their teachers. Creepy teacher is my favorite. Definately worth watching for a good many laughs.

Samurai Champloo - Fuedal Japan with a modern twist. Can be seen on Adult Swim so don't worry about going out of your way to see it

Full Metal Alchemist - Again it is on Adult Swim so it won't be too hard to see

Paranioa Agent - i think this was only a few eps long all of which were on adult swim. I only caught about 3-5 of them but what i saw was very good. For some reason i found some of the characters designs to be annoying though.

Trigun - Anyone know where i can pick up some $$bills? How do you even come up with double dollars for a currency? Great series, interesting characters, cool stories. Adult Swim

Cowboy Beebop - Adult Swim

FLCL - Random and amazing series. It was only 6 eps and can probably be only fully understood while on an illegal substance. I have not tried

Card Captor Sakura - This is a MASSIVE series. I have only seen 1/4th of the episodes max. This gurl released magic cards into the world and they cards had spirits trapped inside she has to capture the clow cards by using the abilities of cards she already controls. Not too far into the series she "competes" with another card captor who is trying to catch the cards just like her but he is doing it because he doesn't trust her to properly seal them away or somerthing... In anycase very cool concept cool show.

Bleach - Only seen a few episodes of this but it was very cool as well. This kid has the ability to see spirits/ghosts/poltergiest and for some reason has superhuman abilities. I only saw about 5-6 eps(out of 80 and counting last i knew) before my girlfriends laptop fried and she lost the series.

Evangellion - only seen a  few eps need to finish the series

Saikano - only seen a few eps. need to finish the series

Outlaw Star - Only saw a few eps of this one but it seemed kinda like Cowboy Beebop but more serious.

Berserk - eh it was pretty good. nothing too special IMO.

My Neighbor Totoro - A Miyazaki/Studio Ghilbi film. It was pretty good. I saw the most recent version of it with voice acting by some famous little girl actress whos name escapes me. I don't like there voices particularly. Avoid the Disney version to not have this problem. Aside from the most recent releases crappy voices the movie is good. Geared more towards children IMO

Howl's Moving Castle Miyazaki/Studio Ghilbi (movie)

The Cat Returns Miyazaki/Studio Ghilbi (movie)

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds Miyazaki/Studio Ghilbi (movie)

Kiki's Delivery Service Miyazaki/Studio Ghilbi (movie)

And of course Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT as well as the movies i always found very entertaining when i use to watch them.

I will probably just make a huge list in this post as i remember ones.
I'll have to add wether they were good bad or ok later.
As it stands now everything here was good unless noted.
and all are series unless noted to be a movie.

I used to watch Inuyasha a lot, and when Case Closed was on I'd watch that too. Oh, and Trigun rules too.

And that, is the anime that I watch.

How did i not put Trigun in my list.

That was another one of my favorite series. We picked up a bootleg boxset from eBay but it didn't work :-/

Never heard of Crying Freeman. Seen at least a couple eps of almost everything else mentioned and all of which were pretty good.

Whats Crying Freeman about?
Same goes for Golgo 13.

All I ever watched series wise was Cowboy Bebop.

Ninja Scroll is teh pwn though.

Princess Mononoke was meh.

Perfect Blue was just weird.

I did actually see a pretty good hentai anime. Something about demons in fuedal Japan.

Legend of the Overfiend is...

And Akira is also teh pwn.

And Castle in the Sky was alright.

And all those other groovy ones that kids can watch.

lot of good ones on your list Izret. Cowboy Bebop is the best of all I've seen so far. Series is better than the movie. Akira and Vampire Hunter D were good too.

I also like Yu Yu Hakesho. The Dragonball series get a bad rap but there are pretty fun to watch, kinda repetitive but still fun.

I've watched My Neighbor Totoro with my daughter a few times. Pretty good.

A couple that I'm watching right now (thanks to www.fansub.tv) are "The Melancholy of Hiruhi Suzumiya" (it starts out odd, and progressively gets more and more odd... but pretty damn funny, too) and "Kamisama Kazuku" (translates to somelike like "Kazoku God," a story about a kid who comes from God's family and has to learn about humanity to become God in the future).  Both are funny, KK in particular has some excellent music with it too (some of the best J-pop I've found), worth downloading if your connection is fast enough.

The classics (well, modern classics) like Card Captor Sakura, Akira and Cowboy Bebop are kick-ass too.

..Akira was terrible. Too crazy and bizarre for me.

For real, though, I'm glad there's so many great animes on that list. Makes me happy in the fangirl way. : D
