Seems to me like they never went down that far. I have a few CIB but not many. I never see these games for cheap and rarely see them CIB.

Yea N64 never really dropped all that much.
It never got far enough out of the "modern" phase and is starting to close in on the "classic" phase it seems.
I know a few places that still sell them for original retail.
There is one place that has a small stock pile and if i asked i could probably pick them up for 20$s a piece(like i did with my N64 imports
)
I wanted to start collecting for the N64 but instead just kept buying for everything and anything.
I like everysystem too much to just focus in on one specifically.
maybe in the future though...

I would really like to collect for the N64 as well...but it is really hard to find the games cheap. Ive seen a few for less than $10 at video rental places (selling to make room for the new stuff). Usually though, I see the carts for more than what Im usually willing to pay for a new game. There was that one time I found Mario Party 2 for $.50 at a yard sale....that was good.

well it seems that the N64 was 'classic' immediately after it went out of production. i dont really like that, when i was younger i looked forward to N64 games being cheaper.

i think it's really a matter of geographics, around here n64 games can be had for 5 bucks cdn or less, cheaper if not CIB, i'm not much of a n64 fan myself but the prices i see them at i can't help but grab them, last time i bought some n64 games i got around 15 CIB for 25 bucks, and here you can still buy accessories, controllers, systems etc. new retail, they still display them right along side cube, 360 etc. same goes for dreamcast, ps1 etc. and i'm talking wal-mart, eb games, etc, not mom/pop stores.

Geeze, sounds like I gotta make a trip to Canada sometime...
Seems like the only time I pick up 64 games is at rummage sales. Then I get games like 007 Goldeneye and Zelda Ocarina for $4. Otherwise, there is one place that has buy 3 get 1 free. But the games are usually marked around $10 to $15 bucks (cartridge only).

by comparison they are cheap up here compared to ps1 games which are hard to find and usually expensive, it's not uncommon to see a ps1 game with no case or book go for $10 or more.

I know that 40 Winks was produced for the N64 and never released, the game was a finished product and has proper packaging, manual etc. Review codes were also sent to magazines, and subsequent reviews were also published, however the game was never shipped. I think this applies for both NTSC and PAL also.
Therefore I would imagine this would make a copy of this pretty rare, if you could come across one.
