GH and Non GH versions are oth going for upwards of 35$s.

If i could get a fucking sellers account set up i would be selling mine right now and go to a shop and pick up a few more copies for 15-20$s. At least thats what they were priced last i knew.

What am I missing on Ebay they are 50-80. The auction Fighter posted is $5,100.

Yeah, it was obviously a fake bid, likely to drive up the seller's feedback.  But the fact that it's selling for at least double what it sells for new, I'd be happy to make that investment...well, short term anyway...I don't want to have a huge stockpile of them when the price drops

I'm not saying I'd pay $50 for a copy of a game I can't stand...one of the top 10 most overrated games in history, in my opinion anyway...but if I can buy a copy for $15 and then sell it for $50, well hell, I might as well take that opportunity before it's gone :p

The fact that I have 3 or 4 copies of this game doesnt mean I paid much for them. But if I can sell them for 40 - 50 bucks a pop, then why does that make me an idiot? That would be like 30 - 40 dollars profit on every copy I bought.

i know exactly what happened.  i put this on the forum on benheck.com.  somebody else saw it on digitpress.  it just so happens that the seller uses digit press.  this is what the seller said:

Hello everyone I'm dugongatee and was the seller of this auction.

When I saw that my auction closed at $5,100 for FFVII GH - I was pissed. :angry:
I thought it was punk kids or something screwing up my auction.

Damaniel's scenario is correct. The winner was a newbie with (1) feedback that set a really high proxy bid. A second newbie that won one of my other auctions (FF7 disc 3 only GH - which he never paid) placed a high proxy bid of $5,000.

In short the winner contacted me afraid I would take her to court. She had been trying to find this game for her son. (could have just bought multiple "but it now" listings for cheaper) (?)

Taking every angle of this into consideration. I played nice guy.
We agreed a bid of $85.02 + $7.50SH - it's not 5G's!!! - but still great for a GH version.

She paid, I shipped, end of story. ( i feel so dirty) LOL

so in other words 2 n00bs were being stupid and set high maximum bids thinking no one would bid that high.
