Well, perhaps this was out of the blue for our Members, but yes, welcome to our new boards! We hope that you find the experience as enjoyable as we will.

Couple of things I should mention:
Our old yabb board was heavily modded, so everything did not transfer perfectly. No polls got tranferred, and the spoiler tag is different. So beware of that.

Also, I noticed in my many hours of readying the new forums that some people have some rather large avatars (100K). You should make sure you are not having an avatar that large, or we will remove that for you.

We have a lot of new features with this forum, and I hope you all use them, I know I sure will.

From the staff at RF Generation, have fun!

I agree. After using the yabb forums for such a long time, this will indeed need some time to get used to

I really liked the old boards, so my initial reaction to these boards wasn't really that great, but I'm already starting to see benefits, and I'm sure it's mostly just a matter of getting used to it like you guys have said.  The way I see it:  the more you post, the more you get used to it! Wink

I too loved the old boards.
But in under a half hour i am already growing quite accustomed to the new ones.

Plus it will be way more eficient an make the sites growth much smoother.

I am all for change if it means better progress.

You better get the links set on the sidebar cause I keep clicking it and it's driving me nuts. Also the title or the position should be bold, or different fonts, or something. Otherwise it's like: World's Greatest Chocolate Shake Sega Dreamcast.

how do you use an avatar of less than 100 pixels width without it stretching to fit? my is actually 52x100. I noticed if you use the available board avatars those are smaller.

The new forums get the Hydrobond Stamp of Approval.

The dimensions of the boards changed a bit though, it feels like the boards could use a little more padding from the top and the nav bar on the left.  Just a thought though, I know it took a lot of work to get it this nice.

i really like the new boards as well, especially the message tool layout, but i think the subject text when your browsing the topics would look sharper if it was black or more bold to stand out from the background like how the "Today" text in the time stamp really catches your eye.  leo
