From wikipedia: There are 709 licensed titles in the NES library in the US and PAL regions, and there are 113 Unlicensed games in the NES library. This makes a grand total of 822 titles in the NES library.

Is that right?  The unlicensed number seems too high.

If I remember correctly, there are 768 carts in a US set including licensed and unlicensed. The number of licensed US titles is 677 I believe.

AVE, Sachan, Tengen, and Wisdom Tree the big unlicensed companies?  Any cartridge that is not the standard grey cart is unlicensed, correct?

Basically, there was also Camerica, SEI, Bunch Games (Sachen stuff), Active Enterprises, Color Dreams (later Wisdom Tree), and outliers like Racermate Challenge II and Calton/Myriad.

Most US NES collectors exclude direct Sachen carts, as there was no evidence they were directly sold and distributed in North America, although they may have been brought in small batches by importers. A later Sachen title like Huge Insect is not included as it was after the commercial lifespan of the system. If you want to stir up an NES collector hornet's nest, try to justify including Sachen. I now possess 50 full PS3 games, one of which is an international release that's not yet listed in the database.

Currently with adding Scaler I am 3 Games away from 6000!!

EDIT - Hit 6000 with Deux Ex Game of the Year Edition!! After submissions I think I'll be at around 6004 or 6005.

I didn't really want to start a new thread for this...and if I learn how to do it, it'll make a milestone of my first database submission...so I suppose it fits.

In finally getting around to catalog my handheld stuff that wasn't boxed, I found a GBA game that isn't in the database. It's a 2 in 1 of Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge and World Race. How do I go about having it entered into the database?

Hover over Submit at the top of the page, go to "Submit Game Information", then "Add Game Additions", fill in what you can about the title you are submitting, and hit "Submit".

Well hot hog. That's so easy a Caveman could do it.

Also, after logging my handheld games, I'm now up over 2200 unique games
