What was the game? My first PS3 game was MGS4. I still have only purchased games that were under 3 bucks, I haven't opened my PS3 and set it up either...

I don't have to many milestones in my collection yet. But, I did find a factory sealed Shenmue on Dreamcast for $5 at a resale shop last year.
That was awesome.

I'd say that a pretty noteworthy score. Keep hitting up thrifts and garage sales an the big scores will eventually pop up.

Passed 1700 games today. #1700 was a Jaguar game...not sure how to feel about that.

Its been a while since I updated my collection. Went over and added a lot of stuff that I've been neglecting. Passed 300 PS2 games (Space Channel 5 Special Edition), 150 PS Games (Harvest Moon Back to Nature), 100 SNES games (Adventures of Batman & Robin), 700 NES games (Tagin Dragon), 100 360 games (Velvet Assasin) and flew right past 2500 games overall.
And without a single Jaguar game so I feel pretty good about that

all my gamecube games are now CIB.
been working on perfecting this set for a while as a little side project from my N64 set. there are still 2 case variants that i would like to replace with original releases, super mario sunshine NFR and smash bros melee "best seller", but otherwise it's all black label and nothing important is missing. i think only 2 don't have precautions booklets.
the following aren't full sets, just other collections of mine that are fully CIB (though maybe not as thoroughly analyzed for condition/variants as gamecube yet):
Microsoft Xbox
Microsoft Xbox 360
Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo DS
Nintendo Gameboy Advance
Nintendo Wii
Nintendo Wii U
Sega 32X
Sega Master System (don't actually have a console for this or 32X yet)
Sega Saturn
Sony Playstation 3 (damn those modern games that don't come with physical manuals, confusing the issue)
Sony Playstation Vita

@techwizard: Do you mean you were just trying to CIB all the 'Cube games you own? Or are you trying for a complete licensed 'Cube set?
@crabby: Would owning Jaguar stuff really be so bad?

that i'm just trying to CIB everything i own, gamecube and otherwise. i only have 24 gamecube games but a lot of them were missing things and a few were player's choice variants before. i'm happy to have them all the way i want them to be now barring minor condition issues and a couple minor variants that i'd rather have the original releases of.

I'd actually love to own a Jaguar. Its one of the 2 systems that I don't own that I'd probably take if they came into the store.

I have never seen games in the wild though, and it seems there were more than a few games for it, so I think collecting for it would be rough, which I translate into a coolness factor. Ha ha
