Passed 80 total systems
Passed 1,100 unique games.
I'm really close to some milestones for total games on many systems, i.e. only 1 more until 100 N64 games, 2 until 50 PS2 games, 3 until 150 PS1 games, 5 until 1,500 total games, etc.

I am 75 Dreamcast games away from completion.
I was hoping I'ld complete the Dreamcast collection before I hit 1000 games, but it looks like I'll be well over before that hits.

I just realized with my purchases of Megaman 2 and 3 yesterday I've hit 20 NES games. I've only had an NES for a month, so I think that's pretty good.
It's eaten my money though -_-

Not really a milestone, but I realized I had picked up 98 games in the last month. I only spent like 330$ (a big chunk of that was on a few new releases). Not too shabby.

A milestone for me is starting with a (little) collection of games. The reason I started collecting/playing older games is because I do not want to spend the amounts of money that it costs to keep up with all the latest releases.
I figured for myself I'd rather play all those PS3/360/Wii titles 4-5 years down the row and spend 5 times less money on them, than I would do now if I'd buy them all now.
Oh and maybe for an actual "milestone": I've bought 5 of the 10 consoles I want to have. Still need a N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Xbox.
