A hugely popular series in the land of the Rising Sun, Fire Emblem made its full fledged debut stateside with the game aptly named Fire Emblem. Developed by Intelligent Systems, the masterminds behind not only Fire Emblem but also the Paper Mario series, Fire Emblem is surely an amazing game to behold.

I've never heard of this game, but I don't pay much attention to handheld games anymore.  I'm not much of a handheld fan, so I doubt I'll ever give this game a try, either...it does look interesting though Wink

I have the new Fire Emblem for the Game Cube. It's a fun game from what I've played so far.

I have a fire emblem carved onto my left palm of indestructible Indiana limestone. But I've never heard of this game.

It wasn't until Marth and Roy appeared in Super Smash Brothers did this game series actually become popular in the US even though there wasn't any US releases.

Anyway, it is a huge RPG series over in Japan, they just released Fire Emblem 9 for the gamecube, the Fire Emblem which is the featured game is actually Fire Emblem 7 and the first Fire Emblem to receive a US release. Overall, the series has received outstanding reviews.

The game itself plays a lot like Advance Wars, except with leveling up, a good story and an amazing cast of characters.

I've played it, very good game. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I usually am not a big fan of RPGs, but I liked Fire emblem. Almost like a Medevil version of Advanced Wars.
