Yeah, people are coming here, but the number of posts seems to have gone down.

I know that I have been very busy with school recently, so I havn't been posting much interesting stuff.  I get most of my stuff from fark.com anyways, and I figure that if I post it here it would be a repeat for most of you.

Don't panic! Don't panic! There will be no kicking of dicks today. I got my bloody VGA cable this morning. It came in a 12" X 12" X 18" box, which is odd.

Don't you mean 30.48 cm x 30.48 cm x 45.72 cm?

You strange metric Americans. You need a nice British system of some metric and some imperial just mixed up enough so no one knows what's going on.

Hmm... I was under the impression that apart from miles, everything else in England was metric.

Isn't England part of Europe??? I mean, its obviously not part of continental Europe, but its still considered part of Europe.  Plus, you do have a rail/road link to France.  (And a pretty darn sweet one at that.)

Technically if we are supposed you the metric system according to European legislation but there are various things which still don't fall in line with this. Weight being the prime example, as grocers, sweet shops, butchers etc still sell thing in pounds and ounce but also have to state the metric weight (or go to jail). Also whenever stating your own body weight everyone refers to it as stone and pound not in kilos, this also applies to height as everyone knows it in feet and inches but wouldn't have a clue in metres and centimetres.

Europeans are different though. They are just weird. Wink

I've just created a monster. But it's tasty. I was making Ramen soup when I thought adding some stuff to it might make it more filling. So I put in some ham and A LOT of cheese. Is very premium.

I had a beastly lamb doner kebab for my tea. It took me about three quarters of an hour to eat it, and I'm a fast eater.

Bloody marvelous.
