I agree, I don't watch much TV anymore. Everything I want to see is on the internet.

TV on the internet sucks ass.

1) Stream or download either way takes to long. I want it NOW.
2) Screen is to small.

that's why you drop tv cable and invest in high speed so you can grab shows in 10-15 minutes or so, then run your PC through your tv/stereo, you may not get everything the night it airs, but it's free and usually has 5.1 and has no commercials, not too mention you can pause it like a DVR. Tongue

at the same time i know for allot of americans high speed isn't what it's cracked up to be for them, i've heard some nasty horror stories about having to pay installation costs and buying hardware for 256bit dsl etc., up here a 5.0mbit cost about $35 cdn a month with no hardware or install cost, and you get an average 6-700kb/s download speed, and pricing and speed varies from $20 - $40 for 1.5mbit to 7.0mbit depending on where you live. in comparison, tv cable with around 40+ channels is $50 a month or so, or as much as double for digital cable around here.

that's always fun but there are also some good shows that can only be seen from the internet. Podcast like Hak.5, Hacking Illustrated, Diggnation, Geekdrome, and commandN as well as many others.
