I haven't been collecting  long, but today was my best day so far.  It started with me winning a VBoy on Ebay for 16 bucks, then I went check the mail and my WonderSwan had come in.  Cool little portable, I wish it was released in america.  After that I had to make a run to the store so I stopped in at my local Goodwill, I try to stop in every two or three days, and there it was a box full of Atari 2600 games for 59 cents a piece and about 6 or 7 manuals. SCORE. I grabed the box and took it to the counter.
I picked up:
3D Tic-Tac-Toe
Asteroids
Backgammon
BASIC Programming
Basketball
Blackjack
Bowling
Casino
Championship Soccer and manual
Circus Atari
Combat and manual
Dodge 'Em
Flag Capture and manual
Hangman
Home Run and manual
Indy 500 and manual
Maze Craze: A Game of Cops ‘n Robbers
Miniature Golf
Sky Diver and manual
Video Chess
Nothing rare but I guess manuals for the 2600 are hard to come by and they are in perfect shape. All in all, a great collecting day.

Nice! Atari scores are getting less and less common in thrifts. The manuals are indeed hard as hell to find, but still very affordable for most. Is the flag capture the atari picture label? If so, that is very tuff to find.....if its just the text version, it's a rarity 4.

Have you played Pitfall II today?

Cograts!
At .59$ you can't beat a find like that.

Especially i you end up having that picture label variant.

Its the text Flag Capture and DP shows it as aR2.  If the DP values are trustworthy then the pick of the lot is Miniature Golf, a R4 worth $10.

DP is hit or miss.
It is my experience that they are usually miss.

Since they are approximate values and they cannot update all of the games nearly as fast as prices may fluxuate up or down.

It is possibly the best source on the web though in terms of rarity guides as it stands now though.
Though for Atari stuff i would go more with AA seeing as that IS there specialty and they have more variations and such listed more accurately.

Hell yeah, good find!

I've never really hit up any thrifts around here.  I've been wanting to, and I think this'll be the thing that makes me just go start it.

I went back today and talked to the guy in the back of the store.  He found the manuals to the rest of the games in the back plus A Atari 2600 manual and 2 small Atari catalogs.  He gave them all to me for free.  I must say that ruled.
