Pasta & tomato sauce with ground pork and an onion, Parmesan cheese and pepper.
Spiced up with a bit of crushed red pepper, dried oregano, ground fennel and anise seed.  Good stuff.

For those of you in the Cincinnati area, Montgomery Inn is going to have all you can eat ribs and saratoga chips for $19.89 on February 22 - 26 at all three locations.  I can't wait.

http://www.montgomeryinn.com/boathouse20.php

For those of you not in the Cincinnati area, Montgomery Inn is one of the premiere restaurants in the city, and the best ribs you can get anywhere.  Anyone who visits Cincy is highly encouraged to visit, it's a great place.

Quote
"The results are in and once again, Montgomery Inn is the #1 rib restaurant and the #1 restaurant featuring barbecue in the entire Unites States. "Restaurants & Institutions" magazine, the benchmark of the foodservice industry, has once again published their listing of America's top 100 independent restaurants.

Ranked by dollar volume, Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse ranked #22 and the original Montgomery Inn came in at #82. With the current expansion and remodeling complete, the original location should join the Boathouse among America's top 25!

Surprisingly, no other restaurant in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana were able to crack into America's top 100. That makes Cincinnati's two Montgomery Inn locations the #1 and #2 restaurants in all of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana."

Today is Shrove Tuesday, so I had pancakes with maple flavour syrup. Real maple syrup was £4.99 for a bottle, and golden syrup with maple flavouring was only 94p.

We had rather a lot of pre-mix batter so we made toad-in-the-hole.

I was thinking about that, and realized I probably can't eat much more than twenty dollars worth of ribs. Not sure if I'm gonna go or not.

Well... their normal slab is over $20, so most people can.  I put away 2.5 slabs tonight.  It was epic.
