The company took us to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch today as the Holiday "Party."  Had calamari, salmon and oreo cheesecake.  They had door prizes too, but I was not lucky enough to get one.

A bowl of chocolate custard. It's pretty much just runny chocolate pudding. Like chocolate mousse without the bubbles. I was debating putting it with a mince pie but decided to eat the pie separately.

Making some shepherd's pie right now. One of my childhood favorites for sure.

Making dinner for friends tonight - cabernet-braised beef short ribs with gorgonzola polenta and a three-herb gremolata.

Today I ate a vegetable Cornish pasty. The leeks were slimy and not very nice, but apart from that it was ok. I prefer proper meat pasties but that's not what was in the fridge.

And for pudding this evening I had Vienetta ice cream.
