Well tonight, we aren't having anything. Like, for real. Sad

Well, I found some old gnocchi in the freezer, so I made those. Kinda stale tasting, but not bad for out of the blue cooking. And I have never had TurDuckHen. That sounds mighty tasty though... drool

^I've been told that I'm making a mistake by marinating it overnight in the red wine and herb mixture, but that is what the recipe said to do.  Lamb has some very delicate flavors and it is entirely possible that I'm overpowering them with the mixture its sitting in right now.  That being said, its not like what its in will produce a bad flavor.  It's pretty standard for a red meat.  I remain confident that this will be turn out well.

If you have time, maybe you should think about braising it? I much prefer it to roasting, and it would alleviate you the problem of marinating it overnight?

Just a thought.

I had some minging baked sausages and fresh bread this evening. yuck Baked sausage always get crispy skins which overpower the flavour of the rest of it. What kind of a meal is sausages and bread? If it was like a bacon butty it would have been ok.

Then for dessert I had luke warm custard with a home made fruit pastry wrap thing. Cooked fruit like you would do for a pie or crumble but in some overcooked filo pastry.
