How much time do you spend on video games

As in going out looking for stuff, playing games, searching ebay, putting stuff in order, surfing the video game websites, etc.

I probally spend a couple hours a day especially during winter months because theres not a whole lot else to do.Of course my wife despises my video game hobby.

There's no where to look for classic gaming here in New York. The few hours I spend a day with my collection. I'm either scanning, searching eBay or just playing a game or two? Every now & then I'll go searching through other websites, but I stick here mostly. My wife & I usually watch a movie or a few TV shows in the evening & we always have a few hours where she'll watch DVR'd shows, while I'm with my hobby. I spend roughly 2 hours a day during the week, not counting work.(I love hanging around RF Gen on the company dime.)

Depends. Some days I might spend zero time with games or gaming. But I always am hanging around rfgen Wink

Hell, there have been days where all I did was play games or work on the site (scanning or adding info)

I couldn't really say in hours. I look for games just about every day. Monday through Friday I've got several thrifts I can stop at on the way home from work and on my way to my Tuesday night hockey games. I go out every Saturday morning to a few others that are out of my path home from work. Sunday are just if there's anything good or cheap in the sales papers.

In the summer I try to get to some garage sales and flea markets.

I play games or work with my collection or on the site when time permits. Usually it's just a few quick games of Battleship on my SP before I go to bed.

I also don't have many thrifts or flea markets around here, so I check all the eBays quite a bit for any potential deals...and of course hang around here and try to help out here and there.  I also check DP and NES World forums off and on.  I don't really know exactly how many hours I spend daily, it's really random...I have these periods where I have 'too much' free time (thanks to procrastination Wink) and spend a lot of time just hanging around the net aimlessly, like the last week or two (actually need to study for exams Wink).  I know that I'm going to have to put a limit on the time spent on the collecting hobby, though...as I'm spending too much time on it now.  I always have this habit of throwing myself into something and forgetting about other things..it's generally a good thing as long as I can control it and plan it out a bit, but usually I fall into a series of bad habits and end up wasting a lot of time Wink

Well collecting (eBay, website, database) I would say 4-5 hours a day.

Playing maybe 6-8 hours a week 3 hours of which are on Wednesday night when Rick stops by,

Then again I am more of a collector then a gamer.

No matter how much time I spend it is too much for the wife. LOL

This past weekend I had to be out of the house for 4-5 hours so I did some hunting. With the cost of gas and all the projects I want to do I thought it was a big waste of time and money. I did get some stuff but nothing that made it really worth it. This town is to spread out and picked clean by people with no jobs or part time jobs for me to find anything. Then again I do find stuff from time to time so I keep looking. But no where near as much as I use to when I lived closer to town.

I usually don't play anything during the day, unless it's something multiplayer with friends. But I usually play at least an hour of something after I "go to bed." I have a tendency to play a game to death until I beat it and then never look at it again, unless it's really awesome and has replay value. I don't spend much time shopping cause I ain't really a collector of the classics. Once and a while I browse thrift shops and game store for cheap PC games but otherwise I just go buy the game I want.

I'll usually stop to see if there are any good deals at eb/gamestop on days when I lunch at the the mall food court. And I may stop by Blockbuster once a week to see if they have deals as well.

I do look up stuff about an hour or more a day at home for reviews, trailers, etc.

Weekly console time is anywhere from 0 hrs to 15+hrs, depending on how into a game I get. For awhile there, console time was only to test purchased games to ensure they worked. Then I started playing Ico...after that, I'm now back to Far Cry map editor...so now my average is probably around 8-10 hrs/wk or so over the past few wks.

Lets see...
I get up.
Shower brush my teeth etc. Hit the boards for a few mins.
Drive to school and if i have time check the boards again.
During the school day i can be on RFGen from anywhere around 30mins to nearly 2 hours.
If i come home from school right after school and don't go out then i check the boards again. Also check HardcoreGaming, my email, myspace, wikipedia, chat on AIM/MSN with peopel from the boards or other places about anything and everything including games. Might play something but more than likely will not because i know i have homework that gets put off because of all the online stuff i do.

Weekends if i am not galavanting around Mass then i am playing something or on various forums.

I probably refresh RFGen 1million+ times a week lol

Pretty much all day. Although I'm not always playing them, I'm usually on the Internet looking up video game-related information at the same time as anything else I feel like doing. Gotta love multi-tasking.

I spend as much time on my video games as my budget, job, and social life will allow me to have.

Drop the social life and spend more times with your video games.  Wink

That's exactly what I do.  If I'm not playing, I'm reading, hunting, or surfing, nearly every waking free minute I have.
