I don't think that this will end up as a portable gaming platform.  Microsoft's position in the console race isn't the best right now, and bringing out a handheld would only serve to put them further behind.  If the 360 can close the gap between themselves and Sony, then they might think about putting one out.

Still the handheld market is Nintendo's to lose.  You've gotta figure that's going to figure heavily into Microsofts handheld plans as well.
