I hang my head in shame, for I have never played a Zelda game. I do own Ocarina of Time and Windwaker, though...

1st Zelda was the best. Then again I have only beaten the first 2 Zelda games.

But I havent played the others very much. PLayed Windk Waker for an hour or so. Ocarina of Time I played for 10-20 minutes and Majora's Mask I have never played.  :-/

A Link to the past is the greatest Zelda of all time. It's one of the very few games I've been bothered to complete more than once.

All of the Zeldas after the SNES outing have been good but haven't captured my imagination as much as Links third outing.

A truly awesome game.

My favorite has to be the first game. While I really liked A Link to the Past, there is just something about the original that stirs up great memories.

Like:
The first time I saw it at a local Lionel's Playworld. I was in awe. "Oooooo" a gold cartirdge! And the 3 day marathon to beat the game. And it didnt stop there, me and my brother played the hell out of The Legend of Zelda. We mapped every item, burned every bush and exploded every inch of the map to find all of the secret entrances.

Beating the game wasn't enough. I had to beat it faster and better than "little Tommy" down the block   :ownedsign: Gannon was my bitch  Tongue

While there have been many games in this series over the years, and many great ones at that!

The Legend of Zelda still stands above the rest in my book  |D

Why don't you start a poll for this Captain Nintendo?  My favorite Zelda is the SNES A Link to the Past.  This is by far the best Zelda.

My favorite is Ocarina of Time.  The load of side quests, the graphical style, and just the overall feel of the game make it tops in my book.

I liked Zelda 2, but it is probably number 4 on my favorite Zeldas list with part one at number 2 and link to the past at number 3.

My first system was N64, so I have only played Ocarina of Time and the Windwaker.

Windwaker has been the only game of length to hold my attention in recent years, so I chose it. Even though I wasn't a fan of the animation style, I grew to like it while playing the game.   They did some creative things with the style.  The boat was a slight annoyance, would have been nicer if it were a little faster, but other than that I can't think of another aspect of the game that I didn't like.
