I just got back from pre-ordering GH Rocks the 80's.

Never been a big Iron Maiden guy. But The Trooper is fun to play.

Since there hasn't been a Van Halen song announced yet for "GH: Rock the 80's", I'm secretly rooting for "Hot for Teacher"...that would be fun (and TOUGH) to play. Remember the intro?

The thing I remember about it is the drums.

I remember the solo now but the drums to that song is what I like. I wish there was a Drum Hero. I would rather play that.

Rock Band is supposed to have the ability to play the Drums by themselves just like the guitar.

Well I got 5 starts on Freebird my first try so I beat Medium. I 5 stared all the songs but "Carry Me Home". What a pain in the ass. It is the only song I got 3 stars on. I did play it again and got 4 stars so maybe today i will get 5. I also bought all the extra songs.

I did play Surrender on Hard and got 3 stars. That orange button and speed will take some getting use to.

Yeah. That speed and Orange button adjustment takes a little while to get used to, but it's like riding a bike once you do.

Sounds like Carry Me Home is to you what Institutionalized is to me...the last song to 5-star on medium. I'm sure we'll both get that 5-star one day.

Have fun with Hard. Carry Me Home on Hard is an absolute BITCH on the intro. And if I survive it, I've at best made it through 33% so far. And 5-starring is no picnic...still only at 3 or 4 on everything there.

yeah wait till you get to Carry Me Home on expert. I'm still stuck there.

Not sure I ever will. I am as far on GH 2 as I am on GH 1. I can't play the same song over and over. Like on easy when I played Cherry Pie on medium the TV was muted. I can't do that over and over.

67 is about what I paid for my GH1 used. GH2 I got for 59.99

Passed Beast and the Harlot on Hard. 4 songs to go!

Also got past Strutter on Expert, which was tripping me up. Then I went on to pass the next 7 songs on Expert on the 1st try until I got to Carry On Wayward Son (89%). 12 total songs passed on Expert so far.

I finally got 5 stars on Carry Me Home. So thats 5 stars on all the medium songs. I also finished beating all the songs you can buy in the store.

I did pick up a used Guitar Hero 1 guitar for $19.07. Looks to be in good shape, but it's missing a strap (no big deal).
