So...... Just thinking about stuff today and the Myriad 6 in 1 pops into my head.

Do you consider this a variation? I know that variations are not really paid attention to as a whole. I mean there are so freaking many NES ones as it is.  Huh

But think about it. Caltron 6 in 1 was released and then the company went under  :-/ ......

Myriad buys them out and then uses the Caltron 6 in 1 stock and simply slaps a Myriad 6 in 1 sticker over the existing Caltron 6 in 1 sticker.

So the Myriad isnt a new game at all. Its just a new sticker over the old one.

I havent really put much thought into this previously, but a conversation the other day brought it up.

What do you think?  Tongue

i consider it a variation, but a major variation that i would need to complete my ntsc nes collection. many others would disagree, because it has a whole new label, box and manual. i believe this is much harder to track down than stadium events, as it only pops up a fraction of the time. great topic cap'n.

Thanks Wizard, it was the little talk in the chat room that got my mind thinking about it.  Wink

Not many people will consider it a variation, but if you really think about it, it is! One of these days, I will own a CIB copy. Even if I have to fly over to Speedy's place and get it ninja     Tongue

Your right that it is a variation but it is a MASSIVE variation.
It is essentially the same game.
But it has identicle ROM except for things like the title screen.

So variation it is.

I guess it would be a variation, but I also don't think that a collection is complete without it.  It is sort of like the Sears/Atari releases of the same game for the 2600.
