What kind of system do the stores such as EB Games use to keep count on their stock and does anyone have one they could let me download.

I think Joe is probably a little bit smarter than asking someplace like this for a "system" to "download" to keep track of games for his store.
In response to the first question.... I think you're barking up the wrong tree. You can't just go looking on random gaming forums for custom software that surely cost many thousands of dollars to develop. Nobody is going to just have a file like that which you can download. Why in the world would you want something like that anyway?

As Mike said, most big chains use systems that I am sure cost a million dollars to license. Small companies also use variants of these programs in addition to homebrew access programs. I can tell you that the Paramount's Kings Island Merchandise Department uses the JD Edwards software suite for Inventory Control in addition to an older, homebrewed access program that kept track of all inventory in a Revenue Center. In addition we also had specially written variance and accounting software.
You have to remember though that in addition to these inventory management programs you also need a register system that interfaces with these tracking products. A lot of stores nowadays uses Micros, but that is a new technology, and as such, probably really expensive.
One thing is for certain though, you will probably never find a magic Inventory Control / Register System on the internet, and when push comes to shove, you will probably have to buy one.
