I don't know if anyone else wants to do this, but I totalled up the value of all the games in my collection using the price guide in Video Game Collector, and it came to $3,558.  Gamespot said somewhere around $12,500.  Gamespot sucks.

Yeah, I have my collection listed on IGN and they use Gamestop prices for thier collection value.  I think my collection was valued around $20,000 or something like that.  Highly doubtful but if anyone ever questions your collecting practices you can show them that and it will shut them up for a while.

When I use the IGN collection toll I think it said around 20k. That was minus 1200 more games I have now. IF some one would of said I would pay 20k for that back then it would have been sold.

Yea IGN isn't a valuable source to use.

A long time ago i wanted to see how much some of the rare games i knew about where worth so i checked by ading them to my IGN collection and they were worth 20$ a piece which discouraged me to realize the price system was just a boradbased value depending on certain variables. Mostly relating to age.

My IGN info:
335 TOTAL GAMES
108      NES      32%
31      PS      9%
29      N64      8%
25      PS2      7%
24      SNES      7%
24      Xbox      7%
22      Genesis      6%
18      PC      5%
13      DC      3%
11      GCN      3%
9      GB      2%
8      GBC      2%
6      GBA      1%
4      Ody2      1%
3      Coleco      0%

well let's see... with the games I've got listed here plus the few hundred more Xbox, Gamecube and PS2 games I've yet to add I'd estimate... that it would take me too freakin' long to figure it out.
