I recently picked up 86 European Pal NES games all complete in
box from U.K, Spain, France, England, Norway, Italy ....

Some have different art work and all have slight changes to the box's,
I have also noted what is in each box including the item numbers of
each item Cart, Box, Manual, Reg card, Poster, anyway the question
is would anyone be interested in this information ? if so should I post it
here or just email it to the interested partys ?

BTW the guy I got these from says he has more boxes so I should
be getting more (each box so far has had 43 boxed games)

Are you asking if we'd be interested in using that information for the database?  If so, we definitely would be.  Depending on what it is, we may have to find a way to work it in, but there is certainly a place for it all.

Yes for the data base or even if anyone wanted a copy of the
information for there own records it is available. Should I just post
it here when I get it completed ?

I have a rough copy now but need to go back through and add some
additional information like which ones are compatable with the US top
loader (no lockout chip) also need to add which country they were
released in, looks like most have a little removable sticker with the country name and date, these stickers have been added by the collector and indicate what country they were received from.

I will also be scanning all the boxes, manuals and carts so that
information will also be available when finished

to a web page so if anyone is interested here is the link

http://fndcollectables.com/NES-PAL/NESpalLIST.HTM

I would post it here but its very long and I don't know if it would
be ok so if anyone would like the text file let me know and I can
email it to you

The guy I got this collection from called me taday saying he had
another box so now I have over 200, the big new was he now tells
me he has 10 more boxes (so far each box has averaged 50 boxed
games) so that means I should be getting 500 more which should
put the collection at 700 games give or take a few

Anyway I hope you guys get the data base set up as I should have
a boat load of additions

My thoughts exactly, I had to bite my lip to keep from looking to
excited

Looks like this collection was put away in some sort of archival
storage the boxes they are coming in are all large metal type that look
to be possibly fire proof not to mention the sticker on the outside of
each large box says  ARCHIVES - BUILDING  -  WARHOUSE with
numbers under each. Also as I mentioned before most games
have a small removable sticker stating the country and date.

Seems like someone went to a lot of trouble to collect and put these
away.

Still waiting for a call back on the last ten boxes, the guy has
no real concept of time, The first time he was going to call me
the next day but it was not until  TWO WEEKS later that I got
a call, the last time was the same story so I don't expect to here
from him for another few weeks
I have  managed to get the first four boxes (203 complete games)
But when/if I get the rest I will definitely take a picture of the whole lot,
will be needing a wide angle lens to get the picture though |D

The fact that most do work on my top-loader keeps
me from being to disappointed  Wink  and the possibility
of getting a few boxed Mr. Gimmicks and Rodlands
don't hurt either |D

I have seen Mr Gimmick get like 75  to 150 loose, Rodland
goes for a little more.

Note sure the exact number of PAL NES released games but
I would bet most games released as NTSC are also available in
PAL, there are also some PAL exclusives as I am sure there are
NTSC exclusives so all things being equal the number should be
very close to the NTSC released number.

A side effect of the European Regional Marketing has resulted
in a large number of variations to each game with regards to
Box Art , Instruction Language Variations, Game label Variations
and even in Game Language Variations

Region A
( UK, Italy)

Region B
( France, Germany, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Ect ....... )

Australian and Asian Markets

So the actual number of released games and variations may never
be complete

The last 2 complete Rodlands went for 350-400 dollars each.  Check the RFGen database and you can see how many pal games there are Wink  As far as I know I added all of them (with the exception of the unlicensed ones which I will add soon)...there are probably still a couple missing, but 99% of them should be in there (without variations of course, that will add a whole new dimension Wink).  There's around 350 different PAL released games, so a lot less games compared to the US.  More than half of the games released in the US were never released in Europe or Australia (also PAL-A).
