Quite interesting indeed.  I didn't get time yet to read through the entire thing, but it looked from the pictures that it takes those CD cartride/case/switcher thingies that some old multi-disc CD players took.  Awesome, one way or another.

Read the article. It's a hotel model. It was used in Japanese hotels. Customers could throw in some yens and then play a game on it.

That is pretty sweet, I have seen similar locked and timed play consoles that were made for use in hotel rooms.
