That's insane! I've been collecting PS2 now for about 8 years, but until recently, it's been very slow, and mostly just games I had specific intentions to play. Now that I'm finding CIB copies for between $2 & $3.50, I'm buying them left and right (as I find and can afford to), sans sports titles. I should probably get some of those as well.

I bought a lot of PS2 lots a couple years ago, between 80 cents and 2 dollars a piece. mostly sh*t games and sports titles but still fun to collect nonetheless. there's a few games I learned about that I never even knew existed til I started just going crazy with the PS2 buying- Total Overdose, Goosebumps Horrorland, Haven, to name a few. None of them are worth playing for more than like 15 minutes but they're unique at least and something different.

I wish I could find more PS2 titles in my area, but PS2 is pretty hard to find around here... Though I *did* find a pre-owned copy of 'Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus' at my local Wal*Mart for just $4.99. That was a pretty great purchase, I think.

So how did longbox PS1 games come, brand new? Generic shrink wrap with a hangtab like the Genesis games?

For the most part, just like most Saturn games. Shrinkwrapped with the horizontal seam, plastic hangtab slapped to the back:

cool! yeah, it amazes me how people have been able to hang onto sealed copies of ANY game for any length of time. for 99% of people, your first instinct when you buy something is to open it up, like you would anything else. I imagine a lot of those are copies of games that were in possession of store owners and they couldn't sell them?

Did they do it the same way for the cardboard boxes?

The second picture is A-Train, which was a cardboard box. The hangtabs aren't necessarily part of being NIB, as those are typically applied by the vendor after being removed from the box (in case of orientation changes). Here's the front to show the seams in the plastic:

I'd say it's between Rule of Rose or Kuon though it's always likely it's an overlooked shovelware title.

I thought so too, but I am told some on here come across it frequently. I have been looking for one for ages, it seems.

I've only come across one PS2 copy of Futurama ever. Seen 4 Rule of Rose in my hunting. That's just anecdotal though. There are tons of other PS2 games I have never seen, several of which are sports titles too.

Fantavision sealed. Trust me on this one. My statement has nothing to do with the fact that I have a sealed Fantavision (please make me an offer on my Fantavision).
