I broke the 100 feedback mark on Ebay this weekend.  I printed out my turqoise star certificate and put it on the fridge with my son's awards.  It will be a good laugh when my wife sees it. Tongue

I just started checking out a busted computer my uncle gave me and hopefully i will ba able to salvage some parts from it.

16x DVD drive
48x CD burner
256DDR Ram
80 Gig harddrive

I don't have a DVD drive
I already have the same model burner so thats just back up or a give away
i can swap out my stick of 128 for the 256. That would bring me to 768 ram
swap out my 20 gig for the 80 gig bringing my to 240 gigs

I am happy |D

Scratch that i am gonna give my cuz Dan the 80 gig.
I can deal with 180 for now.

Well after doing a bit of talking with some friends.
I am also going to give away the CD burner and case and processor(assuming it works)
Another friend of mine is going to give me a case and new processor.
So it will no longer be remotely the same.

He's right.  I have a 120 GB drive, a 160 GB, and a 200 GB, for a total of 480 GB...  and I think they are all about full.  Without my DVD burner I'd need a few terrabytes.

Well for starters I have my entire CD collection ripped to my PC as MP3's or OGG's, including over a year's worth of MP3's I purchased online from eMusic, totalling about 53 GB.  Then there are web site backups, video files I've recorded from TV, and lots of other stuff.  Sorry, Den, no porn.

How do you do that?  I know you have to have some kind of special cable, but what is that cable called, and what programs do you need?  Also, won't the equipment to record video from TV do stills as well?
