nono, She said voting for KERRY would result in the legalisation of rape. Not Bush.

And for the people that feel Kerry is a communist, here he'd be regarded quite radically right wing Wink

I french exchange student told me that papers in France had headlines that Kerry won the election. I guess the major news paper in Rome did too but then they ran a reprint to fix their mistake, according to one of my teahcers anyways.

Mostly, I'm just glad the election is over so that people can stop going at each others' throats and conservatives can stop crying about how Kerry is a communist (which of course he is nowhere close to).

Mike, the situation has changed after the election, but that doesn't stop everyone from being at eachother throats.  That will still go on for a few weeks.

In fact, there has been quite a lot of talk about secession that I have seen recently.  But it was online.

I saw that as someones avatar on another site. I almost asked them about it but decided not to.
Actually it is pretty stupid but still funny.
All of the states Kerry won he beat Bush by a 5%(or more) smaller margin than Gore did. With the exception of New Hampshire.

Al Gore invented the Internet, so of course he was more popular than Kerry.  Still though, the last two candidates the democratic party has put up were sub par in my opinion.  At least Bill Clinton had some personality.

I don't see how that is really possible, considering Bush had quite a lead for most of the night, and was never behind Kerry as the votes were coming in.

Well you figure at 8 PM Kerry was ahead in the polls (i think he had 10-15 more Electoral votes) because mostly what was coming in was Dem States (the south east part of the United states of Canada.)Then you factor in the 6 hour time difference to rom that puts it at about 2AM their time. News papers have to be in trucks to be delivered by 4 AM to make it to stands for 5or 6 AM sales.
That my friend is how it could and probably was possible.

Then they must have been reporting differently in your part of the country, because Kerry was never ahead on CNN.com or Foxnews.com.  And yes, I was at my computer watching the development for about 6 hours starting at about 7:30.  Dont worry, I was doing homework too.
